My parents and sister are visiting me at college for Thanksgiving, since a lot of our family lives up here anyway. Yesterday we went to Whidbey Island to visit Pronkin’ Pastures alpaca farm! They have 38 alpacas and one rescue llama.
There was one alpaca named Destiny who was especially friendly. She kept trying to eat my sweatshirt.
The farm had eight babies born this year. Destiny is pretty young. She’s a lot smaller than the adult alpacas, who seemed less eager to say hello. We also met a little brown alpaca named Milo.
This is Miss Lilah June, the only adult who would let me get near her.
She’s just about as tall as I am, and I’m 5′ 6″.
I saw these alpaca socks in their little shop, and I was very tempted, but $22 was a bit out of my price range.
